She had a good night’s sleep and woke up still wackadoodle.
I still prefer the neologism “Xitter” (“x” pronounced like “sh”) as an excercise in nominative determinism.
I was curious what the actual quote was. It’s this:
He urged people to “go out there, do entry level jobs, get into the workforce, prove that you matter, get agency into your own life.”
No one . . . NO ONE . . . has to prove that they matter. Everyone matters. Well . . . some people can maybe prove they don’t matter, like Dr. Oz, but the default is that people matter. This is not something we need to prove to the universe.
This reflects RFK jr’s lament about autistic folk, “They don’t even pay taxes.” In the fascist mindset, your value is only in what you can produce for them. If you do not increase their bank accounts, you don’t matter and should just hurry up and die, certainly not worth putting money into. This is not sarcasm, i wish it was, it is fact.
My work has never made me feel like I mattered either, for that matter.
Like quite the opposite: The more the work matters the less important I am compared to it and the more I sacrifice to what matters.
And entry level jobs go above and beyond to make it clear that you don’t matter. Like coworkers and management often really make an effort to drill that into you. That’s how you prove you matter! You do whatever it takes to get them to give you work that matters.
But this is all on top of the fact that most people who are disabled don’t matter to this ass specifically because they can’t “prove they matter by working hard for the entitled privilege to live another day.” Circular logic in service of killing Americans.
This is not the first time Musk has called someone a pedophile and it seems to be a clear indicator that he doesn’t like them. I don’t believe Trump is playing any dimension of chess either.
Other rethugs may make use of this spat for their own nefarious ends, but as to the two lead dipshits:
Yeah - this one is real.
Never say never in them making up if one ends up kissing the other’s ring.
Feuding Trump and Musk are now not expected to speak on Friday
Looks like their make up call is canceled.
And here I am, I can’t even get TTS to look at my resume.
The main thing to remember about this Musk-Trump fight is that the Republican bill will bounce 16 million people off of Medicaid and collapse rural hospitals in order to give the biggest tax cut in history to people making more than four million bucks.
–Brian Schatz
Absolutely- They do not care about what we care about in this bill.
I don’t think the legendary iota of difference is actually that important for that question and there were many other interpretations both before and after that (say for example Docetism where IIRC Jesus was born and instantly adopted by god and became perfect, or some of the Cathars (or “good Christians” as they called themselves) or other gnostics who tied themselves up in knots about perfection and actually having a human woman give birth to him (ew, obviously, from their perspective). But most Christians settled on the fact of Jesus’s humanity being an important bridge to return humans to god. His ability to suffer, and to otherwise err from perfection, is therefore key.
The weird cults that USian Christians have can all pass through the eye of a needle as far as I’m concerned. They are Humpty Dumpty christians: Christianity means whatever they want it to mean in any situation so that it allows them to do what they want to do. No more and no less.
Revisiting the Arean controversy as if it were relevant to them is pointless.
With the press laser-focused on posts from Elno and
, I missed the news that a wrongfully deported person was returned to the US:
So, the administration proved it is able to bring deported people back - although they’ll probably continue to claim they are too weak / have no power to do that for those incarcerated in other countries.
The code, using outdated and inexpensive AI models, produced results with glaring mistakes. For instance, it hallucinated the size of contracts, frequently misreading them and inflating their value. It concluded more than a thousand were each worth $34 million, when in fact some were for as little as $35,000.
Since the Orange Menace hates vets anyway, this should come as no surprise. The fact that the VA refuses to say what contracts are being targeted, even to Congress, is concerning. (But also pretty much on par, honestly.)
Sounds good, right? Agree so far!
Yet as Dr. Casey Means has criticized scientists, medical schools and regulators for taking money from the food and pharmaceutical industries, she has promoted dozens of health and wellness products — including specialty basil seed supplements, a blood testing service and a prepared meal delivery service — in ways that put money in her own pocket.
Oh, just another grifter. Great, so he is still consistent in that, at least.
Oh, hey, just like billionaires…
would many of us be surprised that there is a correlation between billionaires and being on the spectrum? (“correlation is not causation!” yes quite so quite so, particularly when there’s being born with a silver spoon factor involved (and thus the foul philosophical school of “anti- social Darwinism” is born))
And Judge Boasberg ruled that the El Salvador renditions under the Aliens & Enemies Act were illegal:

I think that would be insulting to people on the autism spectrum. Autism isn’t being sociopathic.
