48% tariff on the body and blood of Christ. The Church has been ripping us off for years!
Made me remember this commercial!
They reversed the reversal.
Not directly Il Douche, but his local minion Youngkin. The state replaced our school sports physical that we have used for years, a 2 page, fairly simple but adequate form, with a 7 page confusing monstrosity. Part of the reasoning for this (not publicly acknowledged, but convince me otherwise) is that they also dropped the Spanish version of the form. The new form is English only and the state Board of Ed has said it is a local issue whether to offer a translated version, the state will no longer provide them. I am going to see if we can get a Spanish version for our office. We do have Spanish translators here, but no other languages. I am not having a particularly good week this week.
Pshaw, as if “free will” exists. ( ;))
Title VI of the Civil Rights Act would like a word.
(Does the Civil Rights act extend to states in this way? IANAL…)
“It’s America! Talk English!” I am certain this is a large chunk of the “why” behind this. We will find a way around it.
Youngkin sucks rocks. He figured into the equation when I decided to move home to Delaware before I retired. I’d been in Virginia over 30 years. He’s the worst!
About the form, does it look like they’re trying to sus out trans kids? That was my first thought when I started reading your post.
I hope you’re able to get the translation easily.
I remember this idea coming up (as satire) around the turn of this century - if the US must invade someone, then why not Vatican City? One of the points was that the Swiss Guard would be outnumbered (& in some cases, overdressed).
On the form is a place where they ask specifically “sex assigned at birth.” I happen to know that schools rarely look at the actual form, just check that it was turned it. I have been advising my trans kids to just leave it blank and see what happens.
How the ever loving fuck is it higher than his first term.
Or just answer “yes”, as it was probably assigned at birth.
Going forward, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) must send new rules regarding reactor safety to the White House, where they will be reviewed and possibly edited. That is a radical departure for the watchdog agency, which historically has been among the most independent in the government. The new procedures for White House review have been in the works for months, but they were just recently finalized and are now in full effect.
I’m sure this will end well, right?
Nice! Seriously, excellent way to handle this.
Now we know how this guy got hired…
