President Putin of Russia doesn’t want to have a Cease Fire Agreement with Ukraine, but rather wants to meet on Thursday, in Turkey, to negotiate a possible end to the BLOODBATH. Ukraine should agree to this, IMMEDIATELY. At least they will be able to determine whether or not a deal is possible, and if it is not, European leaders, and the U.S., will know where everything stands, and can proceed accordingly! I’m starting to doubt that Ukraine will make a deal with Putin, who’s too busy celebrating the Victory of World War ll, which could not have been won (not even close!) without the United States of America. HAVE THE MEETING, NOW!!!

Our Country has been INVADED by 21,000,000 Illegal Aliens, many of whom are Murderers and Criminals of the Highest Order, and if we aren’t allowed to remove them because of a radicalized and incompetent Court System, the USA will quickly and violently become a CRIME RIDDEN THIRD WORLD NATION, NEVER TO SEE GREATNESS AGAIN. Our lawyers should state this FACT when going before the United States Supreme Court, and all other courts. I was elected in a landslide, won ALL SEVEN SWING STATES, 312 Electoral College Votes, Won 2750 to 525 Districts, and easily won the Popular Vote. I must be allowed to do the job that I was elected to do. If not, we won’t have a Country anymore. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!

IN JUST THREE MONTHS, TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS (and therefore, record numbers of JOBS!) HAVE BEEN POURING INTO THE USA. THIS IS BECAUSE OF MY TARIFF POLICY, and our great November 5th Election WIN! For many years the World has wondered why Prescription Drugs and Pharmaceuticals in the United States States of America were SO MUCH HIGHER IN PRICE THAN THEY WERE IN ANY OTHER NATION, SOMETIMES BEING FIVE TO TEN TIMES MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THE SAME DRUG, MANUFACTURED IN THE EXACT SAME LABORATORY OR PLANT, BY THE SAME COMPANY??? It was always difficult to explain and very embarrassing because, in fact, there was no correct or rightful answer. The Pharmaceutical/Drug Companies would say, for years, that it was Research and Development Costs, and that all of these costs were, and would be, for no reason whatsoever, borne by the “suckers” of America, ALONE. Campaign Contributions can do wonders, but not with me, and not with the Republican Party. We are going to do the right thing, something that the Democrats have fought for many years. Therefore, I am pleased to announce that Tomorrow morning, in the White House, at 9:00 A.M., I will be signing one of the most consequential Executive Orders in our Country’s history. Prescription Drug and Pharmaceutical prices will be REDUCED, almost immediately, by 30% to 80%. They will rise throughout the World in order to equalize and, for the first time in many years, bring FAIRNESS TO AMERICA! I will be instituting a MOST FAVORED NATION’S POLICY whereby the United States will pay the same price as the Nation that pays the lowest price anywhere in the World. Our Country will finally be treated fairly, and our citizens Healthcare Costs will be reduced by numbers never even thought of before. Additionally, on top of everything else, the United States will save TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS. Thank you for your attention to this matter. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

How is it possible that the United States is the richest and most powerful country in the world and yet such a pathetic nation that even an island inhabited only by penguins and the occasional seagull could benefit from unfair trade?

How is it possible to have won the Cold War, buried the Soviet Union, and be the world’s only superpower, and yet Trump mocks his citizens by saying that the entire world abuses the United States?

So… he’s going to institute something that reduces drug prices to that that we pay in Australia thanks to the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme?

Does he mean the prices paid to the companies (because the PBS is, in part, a subsidy), or at the counter? That is, will he subsidise some or all of the medications? Or will he just make it a price guarantee: if you can buy this lifesaving medication cheaper in another country, we’ll match it!

My English reading level is not the best, but what I understood bothered me a lot. He doesn’t want to lower the prices of medicines in the United States, but rather to increase the costs in the rest of the world.

The whole “and to all a goodnight” is weird enough that it makes me think Trump wrote it, but on the other hand, he didn’t take the opportunity to denigrate anyone, which is very out of character. (I would have expected him to also wish a happy mother’s day to, say, the “radical left maniac women who are so ugly I would never grab their pussies,” or something.) So did someone else write it in Trump style, or was this Trump at his softest - being a weirdo, but not a monster? (What often gets lost, what with Trump being a deranged monster, is that he’s also a profoundly weird dude.)

They’re trying to justify it by comparing it to when an Air Force one got donated to Reagan’s library - but the difference was the plane was being decommissioned, and it was actually in the library, not being used by Reagan.

If this happens, and sanity actually gets restored after Trump’s term, the reasonable thing to do would be to confiscate it - because either it was a gift to the (office of the) President (i.e. to the government), or it was an illegal bribe… (And while they’re at it, they can grab all that TrumpCoin money, too…)

Wait, so he’s simply signing an executive order that drug prices should be reduced 30-80%? That’s it? (Which would do literally nothing to drug prices.) Meanwhile he’s putting tariffs specifically on drugs, so prices will go up. Except wait, he’s saying the prices will go up… everywhere else? Er, how? Oh, he’s instituting a “favored nation policy”… which would somehow make the US everyone else’s favored nation? (How’s that supposed to work?) WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?

The combination of empty, performative gestures and incoherence and incredible stupidity/ignorance and simply demanding that the whole world work the way he wants it to (after having put the US in the weakest possible trade position)… yeah, Trump is pretty special, all right. I’m really just not sure how much of this is intended to make Trump supporters think something is happening (when it isn’t, and rising drug prices will quickly make them realize it isn’t), and how much of this is just intended to keep Trump himself busy and feeling satisfied.

Because everything is zero sum. If drugs are cheaper in another country it’s because the company makes its profits by price gouging in the US, and if they can’t then they will have to make it up by price gouging somewhere else. It’s the only way to explain the difference when you are too stupid to understand all the actual reasons.

“Most favored nation clause” is a term insurance companies use (well, the big ones, anyway) to assure yhat they will always get the lowest contracted price we have with anybody, snd if someone gets a lower price theirs automatically drops. You have to be a heavy hitter to get one of those, and Il Douche is a strict lightweight.

I was thinking about it, I can finally drop those 30 pounds my cardiologist has been pestering me about by getting one of those fancy weight loss drugs that are all the rage.

Or even better I can get my asthma medication for less than 150 bucks a month.

With that kind of savings I can get more the 3 dolls.

This makes no sense at all. He says he’s going to lower prices, but he’s going to raise prices elsewhere and everyone else is going to pay a lot. How is that going to benefit some sick American in the backwoods of Montana?

This hypothetical patient will laugh, while coughing in pain: Now those people with migraines in Austria will pay as much as I did for a painkiller.
