I heartily agree! Even the social snob FDR would be appalled at djt’s antics.
Also, why the fuck would he put it in the state where he lives, and many of his supporters live? Why not Louisiana? Just for Mike Johnson.

OK, that I can agree with. There is nothing amusing in any way in the industrial application of suffering to human bodies. And anything that makes it seem so is not appropriate. This. Is. Not. Funny. Period, end of subject. Can’t remember who said it upstream about the fascists making t-shirts out of it, but if the MAGAts can monetize it, it’s probably a bad idea.
In a region where Hurricanes and storms are normal. Will the inmates be evacuted in an event of an emergency?
I can imagine these poor, yet expensive, tents flying when a hurricane hit the site.
It won’t be funny…
It’s a fucking kennel.
In an area where heat and humidity are near unbearable (and getting worse), and mosquitoes and other cruddy bugs make life miserable while spreading horrifying illnesses, these seem to offer virtually no protection whatsoever. Of course, again, the suffering is the point.
I think other facilities in US follow the same standards, unfortunatelly.

I’m going to think about what Dr Faustus said.
While I believe it is exactly like Auschwitz when it started, and that where it ends is a horrifying thought. I also don’t like the simple reductionism of “fascists have simple communication, you should be like them to communicate as well” because we face a world of complex problems without simple solutions.
Um; are those actual alligators in the moat?
I don’t know. They are full of lies and deceptions…
When you write just a few words alone, you write with Hitler.
Will it say “Trump sets you free” over the entrance gate?
I really doubt it, looks all kind of ways unnatural to me. I think the whole photo could be AI (and wouldn’t be at all surprised if it is).
What about the floods and storm surges? Those pictures are horrifying and stark AF. That anybody would actually be proud of this is chilling.
Indeed. It is a government of sadists.
Currently. I mean, it is undeniably a concentration camp, and whether it’ll turn into a death camp is simply a matter of how long it’s allowed to operate. The set-up (poor living conditions, insufficient food and medical care, vulnerable to multiple types of extreme weather conditions) means mass deaths are inevitable, given enough time, by design.
That part.
And let’s remember — they only built this so they could have ghoulish photo-ops without having to fly all the way to El Salvador.
I’m not familiar with alligators, but crocodiles are very difficult to spot when you’re much much closer than the viewpoint in that pic.
