The goddamn Trump Administration (Part 2)

First we had Laura Loomer advocating for the genocide of the entire US Latino population, now we’ve got Curtis Yarvin floating the idea of reintroducing (traditional) slavery to the US…

So this is where we are - the MAGA movement is leading us into literal genocide and slavery, on a scale that would have taken aback the Nazis. Openly and unashamedly. I don’t know what it’s going to take to wake up Americans who would be appalled by this but simply don’t know what’s going on, as the mainstream media continues to normalize Trump.

I want to stab that man in his eyeball with a shrimp fork.

well, probably not, but they’d probably be impressed, much as they were with our Jim Crow system, and the people who developed the modern concept of progaganda (thanks BERNAYS!).

You look up to the job, Curtis.

One of those fancy ones, too… Maybe something like this…

I really hate that man’s arrogant ass… another mediocre white dude, believing he’s somehow superior to the rest of humanity… :rage:

$50 for a tomato? No, you would not. You would bitch up a storm and insist that “someone needs to do something about it,” then probably say that it’s the Dem’s fault for environmental regs or some such nonsense. Never, ever will you cop to the fact that you caused this, you racist asshole. Sadly, we may get to find out. Advice for all: Plant a big garden, then as you are working your ass off to grow a few tomatoes, consider what these workers go through so you don’t have to!

FFS, read the parable of the flood, MTG. Moron.

It’s literally The Parable. Of. The. Flood.

God gave you weather prediction tools and catastrophe relief and you prayed instead.

That. And putting together a plan for the most effective retaliation can take time. You’ve heard the saying, “Take the bull by the horns”. Jethro Tull’s Ian Andersen subverted the saying in a song about a saboteur: “… to take the horns by the bull” (read: Go after the leader, not the armies). The Leader. Now who could that be.

It strikes me that most republicans believe that there are only 3 ways to deal with problems… one is adding more police, second is tax cuts, and third is praying.

(excerpt) The Lamp Editor Matthew Walther tells the New York Times that President Donald Trump does not deserve to be taken seriously by whatever historian gets stuck writing his book chapter.

“We have been advised to take Mr. Trump, if not literally, then at least seriously. I do not think we should extend him even that courtesy,” wrote Walther.

Trump is not “a Caesarean figure set upon remaking the United States in his own image,” Walther said. Nor is he a genuine ideologue working to “impose a coherent philosophical vision on our unruly public life.” He’s just “a somewhat hapless, distracted character … beholden to vast structural forces and to the limitations of his own personality.”

Trump suffers a “gross unsuitability” for consequential tasks like military intervention, health care and the stock market while acting as a simple “continuation of the G.O.P. establishment,” writes Walther. “If Barry Goldwater was the book and Ronald Reagan the movie, Mr. Trump is the glitzy jukebox musical.”

Nah, Trump is the typo-laden tweet at 3am while sitting on the toilet.

America, still being an aspirational example (for Nazis)! (They even looked to us for the whole “gassing minority groups with Zyklon” thing.)

It’s like Charlie Kirk calling Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson a “diversity hire.” One of them being a guy who dropped out of community college, the other being a former Harvard Law review editor, etc. (Though similar examples are endless, bound only by the number of conservative, mediocre white men.)

I’ve always thought of MAGA as a death cult, but Jamelle Bouie has been making a convincing argument that Trump is a “family annihilator,” with his “family” being the United States…

They’re talking less and less about “illegals” as they shift to targeting an entire ethnicity. :grimacing:

I had not heard that bit of it. Capping student loans at $200k will, indeed, end med school dreams for most who are not rich enough to lay out a couple hundred grand themselves. Fun stuff…

There’s a fourth way, now. Blame the problem on some non-white persons, and deport them. Problem solved. /s?

And re “remigration” - how far back do they want to go with that? Because, no, we’re not having those right-wing fuckwits of European descent back over on this side of the Atlantic thanks, even if it would be the right thing to do for the indigenous population.
