The goddamn Trump Administration (Part 2)

It appears truth social now requires a login to view his posts.

Now how can I keep track of his decline.

The brightest son of Mr. Bolsonaro published a letter to the nation after Mr. Trump threats.

“We urge Brazilian authorities to avoid escalating the conflict and adopt an institutional solution that restores freedoms. It is up to Congress to lead this process, starting with a broad, general, and unrestricted amnesty, followed by new legislation that guarantees freedom of expression—especially online—and the accountability of public officials who abused their power.”

“Without these urgent measures, the situation is likely to worsen — especially for certain individuals and their supporters.”

"There are three weeks left to avoid disaster. It’s time for those responsible to put an end to this authoritarian adventure.

May God bless Brazil and the Americas."

The situation that such a perceptive creature so much requested became so strange and went down so badly in Brazil that even major conservative newspapers are repudiating Trump’s initiative.

Even Brazilian agribusiness, a longtime Bolsonaro ally, is quite upset with what the former president’s children have done.

This isn’t the first time. Years ago, they managed to anger the Chinese, who buy almost everything local farmers produce.

I read that Brazilian internet users are sending tons and tons of a certain picture of a naked Brazilian footballer to Mr. Trump and the smartest of Mr. BolsonaroÂŽs offspring.

Huh.

TBH, I think of the theories that T**** is in the Epstein Files much the same as I think of the theories about the peepee tape. It’s not anything that’s going to bring him down.

That said, this is looking more and more like a poorly-executed cover up. I don’t think T**** is in the files. I think he put the word out to wealthy and powerful people who are in the files, and they’ve bribed him to bury it. That’s much more his thing.

Private industry would basically be
SpaceX. That makes me wonder when this was decided, and if they’ve thought about it since, given
everything. Or if it’s just more unthinking destruction of the federal government, without any consideration or concern about what it would do, in which case, the intent is to just break it. (Actually, that seems more likely - it’s not like private industry will do anything but launch satellites. They’re not going to take over the science bits.)

Every day he seems closer to getting as ugly on the outside as he is inside.

Maybe. I’m dubious. I think Epstein killed himself. People facing charges involving sex with, and trafficking, minors . . . it’s not unheard of at all for them to kill themselves. I think a valid question might be why wasn’t he under a suicide watch, but I don’t think he was murdered.

I also doubt there are detailed records of his clients. Why? Because of who his clients were. He would have really had to establish trust with these people somehow. They would have wanted reassurances that he didn’t have a client list. In short . . .

I don’t think Epstein kept a written client list because I don’t think he could have built that clientele if he did.

I think people like Kash Patel and Dan Bongino used people’s tendency to believe there was a list as part of their grift on social media before becoming a part of the Administration. Hell, they may have even sincerely believed it themselves. And then they continued the lies after getting in there, jumping the gun more than a little and promising that the list was going to be released. Bondi even lied and said it was on her desk. I think she was full of shit. I think she had the Justice Department’s files on Epstein on her desk and she just assumed a client list was going to be in there. And then it wasn’t. And then they all got real quiet about it all, hoping people would forget and the whole thing would go away. But that didn’t work, and now you have Patel and Bongino out there saying “there’s no list” as if that’s something they’ve always said, because this is the standard authoritarian approach. Pretend what you’re saying now is what you’ve always said, and accusing anyone who says different of lying. I think this is the simplest explanation for all of what we know has happened. Occam’s Razor.

Except that we have plenty of documentation of him being close friends with Epstein for years and years. The pee-pee tape was always some fake nonsense, but this is far more plausible, I think, given the public record of their connection. We DO know that Trump was in his little Black book, as that’s long been in the public domain. We also know Trump is a rapist

agreed.

Yeah, I guess that’s a good point.

Which makes me think that their “feud” is basically kayfabe

I think there’s a difference between keeping a client list and keeping kompromat. I would not be at all surprised at that.
