I don’t think they understand how ā€œwhistleblowerā€ works…

Today, the people of the world said they couldn’t imagine a bigger self-own than Drake releasing a diss track titled What Did I Miss?. Donald Trump said, ā€œHold my Diet Coke.ā€

It certainly doesn’t help that despite him not wanting people to talk about it, he just can’t stop talking about it which just throws fuel back on to the fire. Is he just that stupid? Or is this a strategy to keep people talking about this and consequently bury all the other horrible shit going on right now. I honestly don’t even know anymore with this fucking guy.

I guess she’ll be releasing the Epstein Files now.

Whew! That needed one correction - a mixup between Ivana and Ivanka. Also, here’s the Liberal Redneck on this topic:

I think it’s a combination of stupidity and arrogance. He has no sense of right and wrong, he just wants people to praise him no matter what. Part of him wants to be open about it and have people simply not care (because what’s the big deal, nothing HE does could be wrong), but failing that, he wants to have the power to tell people to stop talking about it and simply be obeyed without question. Since he’s never faced serious consequences for anything he’s done, he lacks any sense of caution or fear, and so he obliviously keeps bringing it up. He could stay silent and it might go away, but his infantile personality wants instant gratification and ego-stroking, so he can’t help but whine and complain continually when he’s not getting his way, too dumb to realize that he’s prolonging the issue.

I wonder where all that sugar cane will come from and how much it will cost American sugar drinkers.

The reason Coke (etc.) use corn syrup is because of the corn subsidies. Does this mean the corn subsidies are going away? (It would be the perfect cap on all the other damage Trump has done to rural America…)

Also, they already sell Coke made with sugar in US stores - but it’s known (and apparently labeled?) as ā€œMexican Coke.ā€ So I don’t know if the company is going to do nothing, just change the name of ā€œMexican Cokeā€ to ā€œSugar Cokeā€ (or whatever), or - less probably - change the formula (and cost) for all American Coke.

Also also, Trump famously drinks Diet Coke. Does he think it has sugar in it?

Changing Coke’s formula… what could go wrong?

That’s my first thought as well the reason we have so much corn syrup is because the corn lobby is huge and powerful. It also covers several red states that are important to Republicans. Pissing off that lobby seems like a bold choice.

Mexican Coke is objectively better than American Coke, and it’s not even hard to get.

I’m sure America’s corn farmers are going to be thrilled with tangerine palpatine pushing for cane sugar coke over HFCS, subsidies or no.

Of course, if he ever gets around to eliminating ethanol mandates for gasoline, they will be positively livid. Leopards and all…

But, yeah, I’m sure Coke execs were ecstatic that all they had to do to appease Cheetolini was keep doing what they’re already doing. Maybe change the can and bottle art a little.

I’m calling it now. They’re going to call it Coke of America.

That’s what will convince them to grow sugar cane in America instead!

They can even bring the ā€œRed, White and Youā€ ads out of the vault.
