Thatâs true everywhere with the caveat that we too canât just magically replace US products and services with ones from our own territory. We should of course take a leaf out of Brazil and Philippines books and implement cheap digital cash transfer systems. (Fuck those Stripe dicks). We should do it anyway. The good bit is that the Washington consensus is tariff free trade in return for allowing the US dictate the broad terms we operate under (like global IP law is what the US says it is) so now we can get our from under that boot and properly regulate the âtechâ sector.
