The grammar! It hurts my brain!
Looks like Indiana might be next after Texas.
Indiana is an example of the OTHER type of gerrymandering: it looks fair, because it’s much more block-like, but especially in the capital (Indianapolis) those blocks conveniently add enough suburban and exurban Republicans to each quarter of the big city’s population to overwhelm what would otherwise be solidly Democratic and instead making 4 barely-Republican districts. Meanwhile, the First Congressional District is so large because it’s the block that contains the vast majority of Black voters in the state, so yes, it’s a Democratic stronghold, but if they cut it in two they’ll be able to make one Democratic stronghold in Gary and one just-barely-over-50% Republican district to cancel out Gary’s vote.
That’s gotta be an Onion article, right? Right?
Ah, yes, Comic Sands.
Snooes says true.
AFAICT, Comic Sands is just an aggregator that George Takei tends to post (sponsorship?), it doesn’t post parody.
Yeah, it doesn’t matter if a website is “humorous” or satire, you cannot call someone a registered sex offender if it’s not true. It doesn’t matter if the person is famous and it would be easy to prove malice.
Someone made the comment that, in the war on cancer, RFK jr. is on cancer’s side. Which is devastating but also demonstrably true.
Was Taylor also in the Epstein files?
Trumpy did add convicted sex offender, Lawrence Taylor to the commission. His administration and the press are trying to normalize child sexual abuse.
Columbia’s student journalists, including the radio station, are part of this as well. The students are doing more to protect freedom and democracy than the august institutions they’re at.
Perfectly normal authoritarian behaviour. When Hermann Göring was travelling on his private train he had the Reichsbahn give it priority (and make regular trains wait on passing sidings) so it wouldn’t have to brake. Because slowing down the train might have spilled the bathwater from his bathtub.
