Thank you for your attention to this matter.
I was looking for that at the end!
It would have fit in perfectly, and made just as much sense.
The Chief Economist for the Heritage Foundation.
This is my shocked face etc.
This is a neat summation of these fake Trump âtrade dealsâ:
Both sides (implicitly) agree not to write down any deal. They understand Trump will fill the silence with outlandish claims, delivering him a political win. And our trading partners are obliged to deliver nothing, giving them the economic win.
I mean, youâve got the problem and the solution right next to each otherâŠ
Yes, but he also supported Cop CityâŠ
They were only off by a year!
Some of her record:
Why is no one pointing out how explicitly unconstitutional this is? I mean, itâs right there in Article 1 that DC is under the control of Congress, not the President.
That brief should be thrown out along with its author. Tariffs arenât charged to the country of origin, they are charged to the importer. There is no money that has been paid to the US from another country as a result of tariffs, by definition.
Trumpâs first effort to quell the building backlash was to push for the unsealing of grand jury testimony in the Epstein and Maxwell cases. But even at the time, experts cautioned how limited a step this appeared to be.
A judge has now rejected that push in the Maxwell case. But whatâs key here is his reasoning. Itâs not that the information is too sensitive, as some wagered it might be; itâs that it simply isnât new.
Indeed, the judge suggests there is basically one good reason to potentially release the documents: to show the public just what a smokescreen this was.
âThe one colorable argument under that doctrine for unsealing in this case, in fact, is that doing so would expose as disingenuous the Governmentâs public explanations for moving to unseal,â he wrote.
Sheâll be as safe as Ernst Röhm was.
The people who support fascism never learn, do they⊠people from marginalized groups are never safe, no matter how much they support the fascists⊠thatâs even true for the most privileged groupsâŠ
In that recent Jubilee debacle with Medhi Hasan, at one point, when the guy who described himself as a fascist insisted that he would never be a victim of a fascist dictatorship. He really seemed to believe that Franco ONLY killed the âbadâ people he didnât like, and not all sorts of people who stood in the way of the fascist state. Itâs insane that they canât grok that spending your time targeting groups means that eventually, thatâll be YOUâŠ
Was there a Hitler crony who had the nickname âGröĂten BĂ€lle?â
Have we invented an even lower form of fascism?
