There are other places that grow oranges …
And in order to short circuit any claims of assassination, it has to be from some diagnosed issue, like bowel cancer. Although that would probably be hidden from the public and a gradual wasting might be put down to poisoning.
One thing I like about Carney is that he doesn’t (yet) have the slick veneer of a career politician, and it’s sometimes hard for him to hide what he’s thinking and feeling.
This meeting was symbolic and necessary, but ultimately meaningless, and I’m pretty sure Carney realises this; he’s a very smart man.
Trump has not changed from his first administration! The only changes are that the guardrails have been removed.
It’s a thing of beauty. (wipes tear from eye)
Maybe it was written under the influence of A.1.
Aaaand… more accidents and breakdowns coming to the USA soon, as people realise they cannot afford to properly maintain their cars in a roadworthy condition.
ETA … and, of course, mechanics laid off and perhaps even some auto workshops closing down.
If i inject some roadkilled-bear blood, will I be able to just hibernate for the rest of this administration?
/jk, I’ll spend it fighting instead
It’s happening:
NIH, CMS Partner to Advance Understanding of Autism Through Secure Access to Select Medicare and Medicaid Data
Secure: yeah, right.
That man is a national treasure.
And all this is the reason why people are speculating that the Trump administration declared the prison deal with Bukele to be “classified.” (Which doesn’t make any sense - the president can’t enter into secret deals with foreign countries, congress has to approve any deals, so eventually they have to see it for it to be legal.) If Bukele - and Trump, by being involved in these shenanigans - is only performatively cracking down on MS-13 (while actually easing up on them), this would all be part of the prison deal, and neither Bukele nor Trump would want it revealed.
Though if it were revealed, I don’t know how much it would hurt Trump - he’s openly eliminating the programs that fight the drug cartels, and his supporters probably don’t even know or care…
If you watch the video, this female agent comes in the second wave. The first agent to make contact with Öztürk is a man who bumps her, as if by accident, and then grabs her phone out of her hands. It’s clear that, initially, Öztürk thinks she’s being mugged. But then another man comes in behind her. She is quickly surrounded and they begin to pull off her backpack. Eventually they handcuff her and lead her to an unmarked vehicle.
If this happened in Oaxaca, you’d assume it was a cartel kidnapping.
Good point, but then, it kinda really was a kidnapping, by a group that basically is a cartel. These monsters have no genuine, respectable legitimacy.
It seems like about 99% of what Trump is doing/trying to do right now requires some sort of formal Congressional approval or oversight and he does it anyway. Congress meanwhile does nothing.
