The goddamn Trump Administration (Part 2)

I’m going to push back against this.

People with brain injuries or intellectual disabilities can still be good people. People with Down’s Syndrome are a perfect example of this. His will to be cruel and do evil in service to his greed for power and wealth are the problem.

Yup! Too late for most, but for our West Coast posters this is the proper procedure: the flag flies at half staff today from dawn to dusk, EXCEPT it is briskly raised to full staff at noon, then respectfully lowered back down to half staff for the rest of the day.

“I am considering taking Three Billion Dollars of Grant Money away from a very antisemitic Harvard, and giving it to TRADE SCHOOLS all across our land,” he wrote in a post on his Truth Social platform.

Reuters noted that most of the grants awarded to Harvard fund biomedical research, which is not typically pursued at trade schools.

Saying “Happy Memorial Day” is definitely something that’s frowned upon. Had anybody other than Trump said it, there would be loud outrage from their disrespect, especially from Republicans.

It’s not supposed to be a joyous or celebratory holiday. It’s supposed to be a day of remembrance and reflection on the service members that died in the line of duty. (Celebration is what Veterans Day is for.)

After reading more and more news about tourists having problems with immigration authorities in recent months, I wonder what could happen in a World Cup that will be shared with Mexico and Canada.

That is good possibility; recruit someone and then use that recruitment (and any information that is passed on) as kompromat. Would it even make any difference at this point though? His base will be forever in denial, and it’s kind of an open secret at this point.

“Influencer who attended… got… no access to the president”

Is it still corruption if the person paying the bribe was led to believe there was going to be quid pro quo? Asking for a friend the New York Times.

Edit: Though given the demonstrable benefits that multiple big investors received (e.g. dropped SEC investigations/penalties), I’m guessing this guy simply didn’t give a big enough bribe to get anything out of it.

I was trying to figure out what the tariffs were for given countries, and found a website that carefully detailed all the tariffs, which amounted to a whole spreadsheet for each country with “tariff, X%, date began, date paused, date when pause was supposed to expire, etc.” with multiple tariffs for each country, some for different products, some overlapping.

So if you wanted to know what the tariff was for a particular country, the only possible answer you could get is, “who the fuck knows?” Yeah, all that chaos has got to be great for business. (If your “business” is stock market speculation and you’re a “friend” of Trump’s who knows when he’s going to announce new tariffs/pauses.)

Sure, but having government positions that require both extensive knowledge and certain levels of cognitive abilities filled by people with neither is highly problematic, even if they were good people. Except in this case, they’re also malignant fucks, which adds a whole new layer of issues.

He’s untouchable now. I don’t think he fears any investigations or bankruptcies anymore

Again, untouchable. We could find video evidence of him in the 80s declaring himself a KGB spy and his base would simultaneously call it fake news and ask what’s so bad about being a soviet spy anyway.

(Rather off-topic…)

Looking at that clip, he has a promising career ahead as a Premier League striker in opposing teams’ penalty areas.

(Perhaps more UKians than USians - or at least those from countries who play actual football - will relate to that comment.)

It’s probably not just him. It’s the whole Republican Party. It’s not just MAGA that has made them Ride-or-Die Trumpers. A full accounting will show the whole party was funded by Russia. We already know part of it. (NRA, Lev Parnas).

As weird and poorly investigated as I still feel that assassination attempt was, I get why he wouldn’t talk about it. He was inches away from having his head blown off. For the first and only time in his entire life, he almost faced consequences for his actions. Maybe some part of him instinctively realized that he’s not invincible, that he’s mortal and vulnerable and that some day he WILL die. It’s probably the closest to a normal human emotion he’s ever felt, and it must have terrified him. Narcissist that he is, as soon as he realized he wasn’t seriously hurt he papered over his terror by telling himself that his survival is just further proof of his perfect untouchable invincibility, and we got the triumphant fist in the air… but I bet that somewhere deep inside, that memory is forever linked to his inner screaming toddler, wailing in fright at having discovered the existence of death for the first time. He will not, must not dwell on it, or it will shatter the fragile ego that our cowardly society, government and media have left completely unchallenged for all 78 years of his life thus far.

Or maybe his brain is such a senile lump of sludge by this point that he literally doesn’t remember it happened at all. Seems equally likely.

Here’s a good one.

The Department of Justice had said in a press release in March that he had received over $75,000 in cash payments for “appointing numerous Northern Virginia businessmen as auxiliary deputy sheriffs within his department.”

“Scott Jenkins violated his oath of office and the faith the citizens of Culpeper County placed in him when he engaged in a cash-for-badges scheme,”

Sheriff Scott Jenkins, his wife Patricia, and their family have been dragged through HELL by a Corrupt and Weaponized Biden DOJ. In fact, during his trial, when Sheriff Jenkins tried to offer exculpatory evidence to support himself, the Biden Judge, Robert Ballou, refused to allow it, shut him down, and then went on a tirade. As we have seen, in Federal, City, and State Courts, Radical Left or Liberal Judges allow into evidence what they feel like, not what is mandated under the Constitution and Rules of Evidence. This Sheriff is a victim of an overzealous Biden Department of Justice, and doesn’t deserve to spend a single day in jail. He is a wonderful person, who was persecuted by the Radical Left “monsters,” and “left for dead.” This is why I, as President of the United States, see fit to end his unfair sentence, and grant Sheriff Jenkins a FULL and Unconditional Pardon. He will NOT be going to jail tomorrow, but instead will have a wonderful and productive life.
