Which has since proven to be true? Your buddy T****’s campaign manager was convicted of perjury for lying about the coordination he had with Russian Intelligence. Russiagate was confirmed as true, dipshit.

Bingo.

They pwn themselves.
They think that their dogwhistling only works in one direction: that their faithful, their all-in do-or-die base will continue to follow them through increasingly uncanny valleys of evil.

How apropos that for those of us who do listen and pay attention, the more they protest via such methods, the more they indict themselves.

Were we still a nation of laws–not that, mind you, I am thinking we were ever on 100% solid ground re all this–we’d prosecute the livin’ tar outta them.

Unlikely. I can but hope.

Will they check out ALL the Tripadvisor reviews? Some of them are very harsh.

Dr. Mike normally tries to stay out of politics. This is the most overtly political video he’s ever made, I think, and it’s a good thing. People with influence who have followings beyond just the left need to speak out.

I really enjoy his videos and find them very informative and interesting.

I’ve definitely noticed through the years he’s stuck to a very rigid “just the facts” neutrality, never passing judgement on others as individuals, even when it would be incredibly easy to do so (especially when it comes to analyzing shows like “My 600-lb Life” and its ilk).

Even this, as a largely neutral, “this is who this guy is, this is why he’s awful for public health, and this is why he needs to resign”, will certainly be considered triggering to those the right. I can just see the comments section now being filled with slurs and unironic “stay in your lane” kind of remarks.

To see people like him and Devin Stone making this kind of commentary just shows how not normal things are right now.

Yeah, the bus (etc) boarding was being done all over the country, if I remember correctly, and wasn’t a border issue. They also didn’t claim any legal authority to do it and didn’t challenge it when Greyhound made a policy forbidding it - which happened after Greyhound was sued over allowing these warrantless searches and ended up paying millions. No one was saying, “This is a border region, therefore they have the right to do it.”

Stopping drivers seems like it wasn’t a border thing either - it appears they were targeting specific drivers (that they knew to be immigrants), though ICE, throughout the country, have been going to areas with a lot of immigrants and just randomly grabbing people (often they went there looking for someone in particular, didn’t find them, and just started rounding people up, including citizens). Again they’re not claiming special powers granted to them because it’s a border region, which means, in theory, people have certain rights to resist what they’re doing that they wouldn’t have in a border region, and if they’re being denied those rights, it’s not legal.

I’m pretty sure that Trump’s directives for ICE/CBP include - or at the very least include elements that amount to - quotas for detainees that they have to reach, and these quotas are completely unrealistic, which leads to more and more unhinged cruelty by the agencies as an inevitable result, e.g. grabbing random people off the street.

Holy crap.

Joni Ernst is a real piece of work. Check out her apology for people die.

The most sarcastic “apology” ever - and yet, when I searched for the video earlier, I found news sites describing it as if it were a real apology, selectively quoting it so that it seemed sincere. The absolute shittiness of it.
