Wtf, the United States joined Russia.
The United States, reflecting the extraordinary turnaround under President Donald Trump, joined Russia in voting against a Europe-backed Ukrainian resolution. The U.S. then abstained from voting on its own resolution after Europeans succeeded in amending it.

If only the word got out that it’s all just a test! of federal employee resolve and integrity. If you do what musk demands, you fail, as no one in their right mind would recognize muskboys as proper authorities. If you stick to the regulations and turn them away it’s clear that you’re worthy of the rightful and legal status of your position [confetti] (or that’s the rumor that i could hope would get started in whatever meta/tiktok/Xitter/social media (obviously not this one) that federal employees prefer)

BIG: DOGE Firings Found Unlawful by Office of Special Counsel

There was a very important development today, still only little-noted in the national press. Government Executive magazine has a good piece on it. The news turns on a decision by the Office of Special Counsel, the head of which, Hampton Dellinger, Trump had only recently tried to fire before being blocked from doing so by a federal judge. The decision specifically deals with six federal employees, each from a different agency, who were recently fired as probationary employees as part of the DOGE purge. Technically, the decision only applies to those six employees. But in a way that is analogous, though not identical, to the way a court ruling works, the findings would likely apply to many other recent DOGE-terminated employees across the federal government.

I say this not to defend the shithead, but to focus our energy. The headline is misleading: he was using the gold bars as a metaphor.
According to him, a climate group affiliated with Stacey Abrams received $2B in funding.

A ground.news search shows about 40 outlets carrying the story, all of them right-leaning, all of them “Mixed Factuality” at best.
Snopes says “A mixture of true and false”. The funding wasn’t a secret, and two different organizations are claiming to have discovered it: DOGE and the now-MAGAfied EPA.
This is timely:
Claims online say the $2 billion grant for Power Forward Communities was discovered by DOGE. However, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin said on Feb. 13 that his team discovered the funding.

A metaphor is also supposed to, you know, represent something in a way that humans can understand. I feel like a lot of right wing types think it means “something that isn’t true but you don’t want called a lie”.
