The 10 Democrats who voted to censure Green are all moderates: Reps. Ami Bera and Jim Costa, both of California; Ed Case of Hawaii; Laura Gillen and Tom Suozzi, both of New York; Jim Himes of Connecticut; Chrissy Houlahan of Pennsylvania; Marcy Kaptur of Ohio; Jared Moskowitz of Florida; and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez of Washington state.

(being a washingtonian i know of Gluesenkamp. she’s in a very red district and ran against an avowed Nazi: Joe Kent …who now (of course?) is involved in the trump administration. does this forgive her for censoring Al Green? hell no. sigh @#$!)

Yep, just posted the list above. If anyone is in these districts, they should go yell at their rep for this shit.

Has Trudeau even hinted at reversing his resignation?

And I think someone needs to learn the definition of caused.

Believe it or not, despite the terrible job he’s done for Canada, I think that Justin Trudeau is using the Tariff problem, which he has largely caused, in order to run again for Prime Minister. So much fun to watch!

Whoa, John James of MI not there? Did my email work, LOL?

I think he’s trying to save the stock market but it’s not working.

After speaking with President Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico, I have agreed that Mexico will not be required to pay Tariffs on anything that falls under the USMCA Agreement. This Agreement is until April 2nd. I did this as an accommodation, and out of respect for, President Sheinbaum. Our relationship has been a very good one, and we are working hard, together, on the Border, both in terms of stopping Illegal Aliens from entering the United States and, likewise, stopping Fentanyl. Thank you to President Sheinbaum for your hard work and cooperation!

I wouldn’t trust Trump not to make sure they are deported to Russia for Putin to handle, rather than back to Ukraine.

But just a reminder Commie Claudia, and Governor Justin, I hold all the cards. Have a great weekend, now watch this drive!

The veterans - who voted as a block more for trump than just about any other - are just now figuring out they’ve been betrayed.

Veterans Fired From Federal Jobs Say They Feel Betrayed, Including Some Who Voted For Trump

Veterans who have been abruptly fired from federal jobs say they feel betrayed by the Trump administration’s dramatic downsizing of government.

Nathan Hooven is a disabled Air Force veteran who voted for Donald Trump in November. Barely three months later, he’s now unemployed and says he feels betrayed by the president’s dramatic downsizing of the federal government that cost him his job.

“I think a lot of other veterans voted the same way, and we have been betrayed,” said Hooven, who was fired in February from a Virginia medical facility for veterans. “I feel like my life and the lives of so many like me, so many that have sacrificed so much for this country, are being destroyed.”

The mass firing of federal employees since Trump took office in January is pushing out veterans who make up 30% of the nation’s federal workforce. The exact number of veterans who have lost their job is unknown, although House Democrats last month estimated that it was potentially in the thousands.

(isn’t there some Tacitus quote about “don’t piss off your veterans. they recall how to hold a sword”? …perhaps not)

Nope, no chaos at all.

A message seen by the AP was sent with the subject line, “Read this e-mail immediately.” It said that “after further review and consideration,” a Feb. 15 termination notice has been rescinded and the employee was cleared to return to work on Wednesday. “You should return to duty under your previous work schedule,” it said. “We apologize for any disruption that this may have caused.”

I often get disappointed in other veterans, but I also understand it. The military as a whole tends towards conservative although not always Conservative. It can be difficult for people in that kind of environment to break out of that mindset, even with strong evidence, and the longer you’re in service, the easier you are to influence once you’re out. I’ve had that discussion with other vets when they think the Republicans value them and respect their service, but like many victims of abuse, they have difficulty coming to grips with the idea that actions are less important than words.

Republicans always cut the budget to the VA hospitals and programs, although this current slash is the most egregious ever, but they say all the nice words and wave the flags, so that means they respect vets. Democrats raise those same budgets and take other actions to expand care and opportunities for vets, but they don’t always praise vets and may actually question the wars in which those vets were involved. (The fact that this is not the same as being critical of the vets themselves seems difficult for some vets to grasp.)

I don’t want any of them to get hurt in this, but then again I really don’t want anyone to get hurt in this, but that’s a hope that’s already been battered and broken. I’m holding out for my secondary hope that they finally start seeing what some of us have been trying to explain to them for years, for decades: the Republicans are not the friends of vets.
