I agree. My point (poorly put) was that Trump believes that the strategy works. Regarding his vetting process, our increasing struggles and suffering may be directly proportional to his own success in his vetting process, so, we’ll see.

Not to mention, the Women’s Auxiliary Air Force (WAAF) ran Great Britain’s radar installations and repaired them after repeatedly being bombed. The WAAF was critical to the success of the RAF and especially during the Battle of Britain—actually a series of air battles that ran over the course of 4 months. I encourage anyone interested in the history of WWII to read Len Deighton’s Fighter: The True Story of the Battle of Britain. (I finished it in three days while vanpooling. Lots of nitty-grity details… but still an exciting read for me.) It thoroughly covers the indispensable role of the dangerous and secretive contribution of the WAAF along with all aspects of the BoB, including the politics.

Jonathan Cain is a really good musician, so it’s a shame he’s such a dick. (And apparently he became much more of a dick after his marriage to Paula White in 2015.) He and bandmate Neal Schon have been fueding for the past few years. Schon sued Cain in 2022 after Cain performed Journey songs at a Mar-a-Lago party. Cain sued Schon for misusing band funds in 2024.
When I saw Journey in 2024, things were very icy between the two; they stayed on their respective side of the stages and had absolutely zero interaction.
When I saw Journey in 2022, I was on the Schon side of the stage and caught one of his guitar picks. It’s a prized possession. In 2024, I was on the Cain side of the stage and caught his guitar pick. Looking at it after the show, I noticed it says, “JCM Jonathan Cain Ministries” on it.
