During one of my lengthy road trips (I tried several different routes) between Texas and Vermont or Virginia, 2021-2024, I would often notice a Biden sticker on a gas pump, near the gallon counter or the cost counter, with the caption “I did that”… in one of the redder states (Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, etc.).
The stickers were clearly mass-produced, I have no idea where they were being sold, but it was clear to me that high fuel prices were being blamed on Biden. Not obscene profit-taking, not corporate greed poised to be pinned to Biden, nope.
Crikey, I did an image search and Amazon and Etsy definitely have plenty of the Biden stickers in stock. I refuse to provide a link. Any of y’all who wanna see, go check for yourselves. I see no reason to help platform that crap here.
My guess is that someone with an Etsy shop thinks two can play that game.
I guess I’ll be looking more closely at fuel pumps at gas stations now that I have a chance to spot the latest upgrade of all this, in the wild.

I’m reminded of UK, wherein you can’t strip the citizenship of anyone where that would make them stateless (because of international law), but even natural born citizens that also potentially qualified for citizenship of other countries* could have their UK citizenship revoked if it was in “the public good.” Which meant every Jewish citizen of the UK potentially could have their citizenship stripped if the government decided to, effectively making them provisional citizens. I imagine we’re headed in that direction in the US, now…
(*Although the Shamima Begum case rather showed how little they cared about international law. Born in the UK to Bangladeshi-born parents, she was effectively trafficked to Syria as a child, where she joined ISIL. The UK stripped her of citizenship after she turned 18, under the argument that she qualified for citizenship in Bangladesh, except that country explicitly denied her entry or the possibility of citizenship. So now she’s stateless, likely to spend the rest of her life in a refugee camp in Syria unless some country wants to take her in. So the theoretical possibility of being a citizen of another country, even if it can’t actually happen, is enough to strip citizenship.)

Another one who was pardoned and released, was part of the Jan 6 Insurrection while he was out on bond for soliciting a minor prior to that. So now they are trying to track him down for the previous charge. I’m sure he’s in the wind at this point.
