The goddamn Trump Administration

More of this, please!

He’s working hard on grocery prices and making life easier for poor people.

Why would the now highly discredited 60 Minutes be doing a total “puff piece” on George Clooney, a second rate movie “star,” and failed political pundit. He fought hard for Sleepy Joe’s election and then, right after the Debate, dumped him like a dog. Later, I assume under orders from the Obama camp, pushed all out for “Kamala,” only to soon realize that that was not going to work out to well. 60 Minutes even fraudulently inserted Fake answers into her disastrous interview, aired just before Election Day, in one of the most embarrassing and dishonest events in broadcast history…And now George Clooney again? His press agent should be making a fortune!!!

And he’s having a sad because his picture looks bad.

Nobody likes a bad picture or painting of themselves, but the one in Colorado, in the State Capitol, put up by the Governor, along with all other Presidents, was purposefully distorted to a level that even I, perhaps, have never seen before. The artist also did President Obama, and he looks wonderful, but the one on me is truly the worst. She must have lost her talent as she got older. In any event, I would much prefer not having a picture than having this one, but many people from Colorado have called and written to complain. In fact, they are actually angry about it! I am speaking on their behalf to the Radical Left Governor, Jared Polis, who is extremely weak on Crime, in particular with respect to Tren de Aragua, which practically took over Aurora (Don’t worry, we saved it!), to take it down. Jared should be ashamed of himself!

It’s not great, but it’s a nicer looking guy than he actually is.

They just reused a portrait of Herbert Hoover

They should have that lady in Spain who restored the picture of Jesus fix it up for him.

He looks like top salesman at a used U-Haul dealership.

In other words, better than the real official portrait.

No reverse raccoon eyes and not orange enough.

Looking at that portrait, all I can think is that Trump must be upset that it’s not bright orange and scowling. He’s angry that the artist made him look too much like a normal human being with life behind his eyes instead of the demented, soulless monster he is.

During Trump’s first term, the group needed to raise $10,000 to commission a portrait of him, but in 2018, the organization’s president Jay Seller said not a single donation had come in.

In July that year, a portrait of Russian President Vladimir Putin was displayed on an easel in front of the empty spot where Trump’s portrait was expected to hang

 Well played, CO.

I read something about that.

How could that be right? All I’ve ever heard is undocumented immigrants don’t contribute to society.

Are they admitting people do work and pay taxes?

Sequel to Portrait of Dorian Grey? The painting grows more human and decent over time while the homunculus deteriorates.

I appreciated this response:

Nah, he’s mad that she didn’t paint him like a golden god descending from Mar-a-Lago on a cloud of fast food fumes. He is furious that she didn’t slather on the Photoshop filter to give him a neck lift, cheekbones, and presidential gravitas that he has never actually possessed. Trump doesn’t want realism, he wants some Renaissance-level delusion or a Picasso fever dream.

This is what is what psychologists call Narcissistic Injury and the collapse of the fantasy self. That’s what his tirade reveals.

Narcissists don’t just dislike unflattering portrayals—they experience them as acts of betrayal. Which is why he dragged the artist’s aging process into it, insulted her talent, accused the Governor of leftist sabotage, and then somehow pulled Venezuelan gang activity into the mix.

Notice how he didn’t say, “It doesn’t capture my personality,” or “The lighting is off." No, the artist must’ve “lost her talent.” What he really means is that, “She failed to deify me.” That’s the real crime here. He didn’t see a king. He saw a man. And to someone like Trump, who’s spent his entire life inflating his image like a cheap parade balloon, reality is the most painful insult of all.

What I see is a very generous moment of visual honesty. The portrait ain’t the problem. The mirror is.
