That situation reminds me of the pilot episode of House of Cards where Frank Underwood began his political machinations to take down the President after he was denied a promised job as Sec. of State because the President decided that he needed to keep him in the House.
Stefanik is unlikely to be as skillfully devious and strategic as Frank Underwood though. (She may or may not be as evil as Kevin Spacey turned out to be, I don’t know)
