The goddamn Trump Administration

I’m okay with ICE officers not being allowed to go to the bathroom, beyond that, no.

JFC, it’s like our government is being run by a bunch of GOP nepo donor baby presidential aides who are spectacularly clueless.

This gave me serious Dread Pirate Roberts vibes. “Good work today, Wesley. I’ll probably raise tariffs on you in the morning.”

It wasn’t lawyers they were missing. It was economists. Navarro isn’t an economist. Neither is his alter ego, Ron Verro. Any economist with a lick of sense would have dove in front of a bullet before letting a president enact those tariffs.

“Vox Day” the leader of the infamous “Rabid Puppies” group that tried to tilt the Hugo Awards a few years ago.

No. That attributes WAY too much rationality to it. It was polling badly. And T**** is a bully, and thus a coward. He caved because that is who he is. The tariffs were getting “bad ratings.” He’ll try again in a few months.

Please, please don’t suddenly think he’s playing even 2D chess. He’s playing tiddly winks.

There it is.

ETA: Here’s my proposal. Once we plug all the holes in the dam of Democracy in the US, we circle back around and rip all the wealth away from the people who enabled T**** and redistribute it directly to the people he hurt. Anybody who had a super yacht can live homeless for a few years.

Especially with Trump apparently saying on his social media network something along the lines of “now is a good time to buy” right before his announcement. Yet, somehow this isn’t insider trading?

Also as soon as he announced this, you hear all the sycophantic republican minions gushing over what an economic genius he is because the markets were rallying.

Yeah, they rallied all the way up to…checks notes…10% down YTD. Fucking sycophants.

In about a half-day, they rallied to around 7% ish above what they were that morning. Terrible for the economy, great for the insiders.
