Yeah. And everything else that matters, it seems.

Walz, Ocasio-Cortez for 2028? Gives Ocasio-Cortez some extra seasoning for a presidential run?

That’s my 2028 dream team… Walz-AOC… I think it puts two progressives on the ticket, both with proven track records of progressive policies… Walz has experience governing a state, so executive experience (he was also a congress person for a bit). AOC has both experience in congress, plus a national presence. She’s also experienced on social media, and can get the message out where the people are… They are both genuine folks, from modest backgrounds, who are also no BS. Also, they’ve gamed together, too…

That gives us a progressive Gen X president, with a progressive millennial in position for a run right after.

I mean, just look at them! They’d be unstoppable!

Well, his recent Tariff Tango did make a lot of his cronies, and probably him too, big piles of loot. Such a deal!

Fox “news” is so predictable…

It is always weird to me that so militarist stuff is normalized in US society, but parades are where people draw the line.

We spent quite a few decades defining ourselves in opposition to “communism,” and before that, to Hitler and Nazis. The teevee repeatedly taught us that military parades before a grim-faced Dear Leader were probably the starkest example there is of such “un-American” societies.

Yes, that certainly is paradoxical, given the many other ways that we glorify our military (not to mention the obscene amounts of money we pour into it).

I love her and would love to see her at the top of the ticket. Walz is fantastic too and would be a great VP. I’d also like to see Jasmine Crockett with AOC on a ticket.

I guess my argument for Walz-AOC rather than the other way around is his longer record, especially at the executive level… Plus, as much as I fucking hate it with all that I am, we live in a highly misogynistic society. the only way we might get a woman in office is if we have two women running against each other, and the GOP as it stands will never put up a woman… Far too many liberal and leftist men will not vote for a woman, I don’t think, at least not right now, because there is a strong unexamined misogynistic streak in their thinking (same with white liberal/leftist men and race, me thinks).

But I think having AOC as a very active VP (acting as a sort of attack dog for a president) might be more effective at laying the groundwork for her to run later. Although it’s not uncommon for the VP to sort of disappear into the background in terms of media coverage, I think if Harris had been more about in front of audiences and seen to take more of a leadership position as VP, as well as been more progressive during her run, she might have had a better chance.

Ideally, yeah, I like AOC-Walz, or AOC-Crockett, but Walz-AOC might just have a better chance of success in our current environment…

Walls too. Most of my life I heard about the evil commie wall in East Berlin and how we were free because we didn’t have walls. Fast forward to Trumpy 1.0 and the MAGAts gotta have walls.
