It’s an unforgivable weakness Biden left this country with.

Armed domestic terrorists and white supremacists like Charlie Kirk? Yeah, that was a major error.

Damsky wrote a paper which argued “We the People” should only be applied to white people, and non-white people shouldn’t have voting rights. Badalamenti awarded Damsky the “book award” for the paper.

According to the Times, the social media posts said that Jews should be “abolished by any means necessary,” that Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio were “controlled by Jews,” and that Guatemalan undocumented immigrants should be “done away with by any means necessary.”

goddammit, i hate this timeline.

that UF (Gainesville) is, technically, part of the northwest portion - panhandle, or “Baja Alabama(*)” - of the state is enough, but shit, y’all… i got nuthin’.

i am not, and do not, consider the southern archipelago to be part of the mainland - or this mainland bullshit.
that’s all I have to say about that.

(*) with all apologies to @Wayward and other of our cafe dwellers in that state on the mainland.

I posted this yesterday in the education thread, and the linked article made the point that, well, it shows up in the onebox below:

In case we need to be reminded that this point has been argued before:

We think … that they [black people] are not included, and were not intended to be included, under the word “citizens” in the Constitution, and can therefore claim none of the rights and privileges which that instrument provides for and secures to citizens of the United States. On the contrary, they were at that time [of America’s founding] considered as a subordinate and inferior class of beings who had been subjugated by the dominant race, and, whether emancipated or not, yet remained subject to their authority, and had no rights or privileges but such as those who held the power and the Government might choose to grant them.

And that was precisely the point of the 14th, ensuring that people born here, all of them, were understood as citizens. It was specifically meant to address the Dred Scott decision.

Just shows the MAGA doesn’t know actual antisemitism when it falls out of the sky, lands on their face and starts to wiggle.

All their accusations are confessions.

They know what it means. Why else would they be accusing everyone else of it?

Calvin and Hobbes and A Light in the Attic aren’t safe enough for kids? One wonders if there will be any books left in the libraries at this rate.

They would prefer A Burning Cross in the Attic.

Public libraries are for poor people.

Why should poor people need to be able to read?
