The Nazification of America

Don’t get me started. She’s probably alive only because she’s white. And in/near a place named Loveland.

Cops shot and killed a 17-year-old in a school bathroom and justified it by saying he shot a cop. They’ve now admitted the cop accidentally shot himself and suddenly no one is willing to say exactly what happened.

Everyone from the mayor to the chief of police to the other three cops who were there have been calling for the footage to be released, but the DA in charge is stonewalling them for unspecified reasons.

“In an effort to accurately inform the public, all three officers fully support the release of all unedited body camera footage related to this incident,” the statement reads. “As Mayor Kincannon has publicly expressed, she, along with these officers, agree that the public interest is best served by the immediate release of these videos.”

Knoxville Mayor Indya Kincannon tweeted that she asked Knox County District Attorney General Charme Allen to release redacted police body camera footage from the shooting but that Allen declined.

The day the Knoxville Police Department released the names of the officers involved in the shooting, Chief Eve Thomas also called for the footage from the officers’ body-worn cameras to be released to the public.

“Chief Eve Thomas wants and supports the release of the relevant body camera footage from the officer-involved shooting inside of Austin-East Magnet High School. Our officers want to see the video released and the community deserves it,” police spokesman Scott Erland told Knox News on Thursday night.

The department, however, has declined to release the video itself.

How messed up is it that even the mayor, the chief of police, and other police that were there at the time can’t even get access to the video?

It also penalizes local governments that interfere with efforts to stop a riot and allows law-enforcement agencies that face funding reductions to file objections.

Summary: Protestors - you have nothing to lose. Counter-protestors - you also have nothing to lose.

That can’t possibly go badly. /s

have you heard of a neonazi group calling itself
Projekt Edelweiss?

Does it involve all the nazis moving to the west-zentral highlands and Alps of Yurp? If not, why not?

They seemed to be into eugenics, craniometry, and neo-feudalism.

Is this the same group?

Hmm. Quite a few Reichsadlern, and if you zoom into some of the photographs, they didn’t bother to change the swastica.

still, this particular webpage featured “Field Basics in Craniometry” and a quote from Klaus Barbie. Probably enough to trip up Facebook’s standards.

That white supremacist I had repeated encounters with over last summer said the same thing. "When the Europeans came here they found nothing!"

And he emphasized “nothing” to show his disgust.

Now a judge has ordered the bodycam video released. And some more details have come out. :rage:

Apparently the kid they killed was dating a white girl, and her mom didn’t like that, so she called 911 because he allegedly pulled her daughter’s hair. Yeah. Just that. A kid allegedly pulled another kid’s hair.

So a team of four cops cornered him in a school bathroom and three of them piled on to tackle him, while the fourth just drew a gun and started recklessly shooting into the pile, killing the kid and wounding one of the other cops.

Another student started screaming for help, because the victim was bleeding out, so the cops handcuffed that kid too and then after a couple more minutes, sent for the student nurse. “the officers did not know Thompson had been shot until two minutes after handcuffing him and turning over his body. After noticing large amounts of blood, the officers call the school nurse for medical assistance.”

And the official opinion: “officers’ actions were justified and “cleared of any wrongdoing.”” “the shooting was “justifiable” under Tennessee’s self-defense law and no charges would be filed.”

Because a black kid was dating a white girl and allegedly pulled her hair. :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

The reason this came up again today:

One of my friends posted about an incident in her own hometown last week where the police shot and killed an unarmed man in the back and they are refusomg to release the bodycam video. “The city’s public schools said it was implementing remote learning Thursday “due to community concern and out of an abundance of caution,””. “Seven deputies have been placed on administrative leave, two have resigned and one retired in the aftermath of the shooting” The city council and even the state governor demanded that the bodycam video be released but the D.A. refuses.

This is not ok.

And her thought was that the world has become crazy lately. My response is maybe we’re just noticing it now because there are cameras and internet everywhere.

The fact that they always try to cover it up kinda makes it blatantly clear that this is business-as-usual, as it’s always been.
