The Nazification of America

Zomg, that’s dripping as much whiteness as the pale glaze on an angel’s food cake.

What a nasty person, and I’ve not read the article yet.

Ugh, and his shit is in Mr. York’s Wikipedia page; but Mr. York liked FDR. Why doesn’t that matter?

Gawd forbid this guy get ahold of George M. Cohan.

The reenactment was scheduled for June 19 - the traditional commemoration date of the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States, known as “Juneteenth.”

A screen grab from the museum website showed people were invited to the one-night event to hear stories from a “massa,” or an actor portraying the owner of an enslaved person during a time when federal troops were pursuing those who owned slaves.

It’s 2021, and people still think it’s appropriate to spend juneteenth focusing on the slaveowners. And it’s apparently not the first time this place has presented a problem:

In 2009, three Black students from a Union County elementary school were chosen out of a group on a field trip to the plantation to portray slaves, angering parents and leading the school to cancel future field trips to the site.

Sounds good. Could I be one of the Union soldiers?

It initially sounds maybe passable, if gruesome, but… is there any way the situation of a single man being chased down by a group of armed men could be presented without eliciting sympathy for the person being chased? Because you know they wouldn’t present any of the context of horrors he visited on others, just as the tales told by “massa” aren’t going to show the side of him that the slaves actually saw…

House Bill 233 requires university students and faculty to fill out a survey from the government about their political beliefs in what Gov. DeSantis has called an effort to monitor “intellectual diversity” on campus. Florida Senate President Wilton Simpson [R], echoing the Governor’s sentiments, said that there was a “great risk” that the state’s universities had become “socialism factories.”

Holy shit, I’m glad I don’t live in Florida any more.

I have not watched this video, and I’m not going to.

But, the flag behind her? US flag but make it chevrons? I dunno, man, it makes me uncomfortable, and I couldn’t find a more appropriate thread for this particular abomination.

It’s not a flag, it’s her EEG results.

Apparently they’ve been dragged so badly for this that they have deleted the tweet. So, I figured I probably ought to swap this out with a screenshot.

Combat Results Table.

As far as I’m concerned, the 1st letter of theory is th. So if you don’t want either þ or θ, then you can apprebiate Critical Race Theory as CRTh. Or KRTh. But please not CRT.
