Trump repeatedly has said that construction for his border wall has begun — a claim that has no relationship to the truth, since he has no funding for it. Congress has not appropriated funds for the wall, and former Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto and his successor President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador have both insisted that Mexico will not pay for it either.
If he’s even aware of it, he may be thinking of major renovations happening at checkpoints such as the crossing at Chaparral, the westernmost checkpoint in California.
Possibly more scanning/weighing equipment or maybe even holding cells, but a wall? Nope.

She’s wound up. She’s not wound up by the people protesting, though. She’s wound up by the violent litany of anger and faux concern coming at her from social media, probably her mass media consumption, and probably the people she goes to church with.
For at least forty years they’ve been winding each other up, more and more. Until they can’t see straight. And that’s scary.

It’s easy to mollycoddle some of the more corrosive aspects of Trump’s voting bloc by misdiagnosing the root of their behavior because the alternative would hit the corporate news media in the pocketbook.

Apparently, ICE has been conducting raids in D.C., with both increased frequency and violence, even waiting outside the courthouse to try and ambush suspected undocumented migrants.
My nephew has been protesting these raids with the Democratic Socialists of America, and he and his girlfriend were arrested and released this morning. Good on you, son!
He even joked on his facebook page how they informed the officers they were all ethics educators, and tried to educate them a little.

Not just heat, but chemical burns, probably from the chemicals that make the flash bang explosives. Those things need to be outlawed.
