Thank God there’s no conflict of interest with that arrangement!

Also - is a GED really sufficient training to adjudicate complicated legal issues?

I wouldn’t assume that much education.

no. fucking. words.
i do not ever want to live in a goddamn thomas-fucking-kincaide vision of anything!

I never had the hatred other people do for Kinkade’s work but damn this is creepy. The prominent church, the students gathered around the flagpole in worshipful obedience, the schoolhouse that looks like it belongs in a previous century, the white picket fences. It feels like there’s some Stephen King-y horribleness going on just under the surface, like this is the viewer’s last sight before getting clubbed on the head and ground into fertilizer for the too-perfect flower gardens. The fiercely glowing windows aren’t helping- it’s daytime, the only way they should be that bright is if there’s a blazing inferno inside every building. Isn’t this guy supposed to be the “painter of light”?

No black or brown people in that town. No wheelchair users or visually impaired folks on those “sidewalks”. No poor people in sight. No uncomfortable questions in their town hall. No queer people in those streets. No awkward history or critical thought taught in that school.

It is truly the fascists’ vision for the US.

Two churches across from each other on a tiny street with no gutters, lines, or signs, and yet there are sidewalks?

I’ve been all over the country, in many cities, towns, villages, suburban areas, unincorporated areas, and of course rural areas. As far as I have seen, this combination doesn’t exist in the States.
