masha gessen, it’s been nice knowing you.
Denaturalization? Holy shit. I guess people who were actually born here are next.

“Where does it fucking end?”
Either we defeat them, or they destroy us. We’re trapped in a fucking Frank Capra film. “Two worlds, locked in conflict. One must die, one must live.”
Exactly, unless they are adequately “pure” or whatever bullshit term they decide on.
My mind boggles that we’re using that argument in the 21st century against people whose sexual orientation isn’t the ‘norm’.
Why isn’t it used, instead, to get rid of a certain Cheeto-colored fascist?
Get 'em while they’re young:
Hopefully, these kids will get a chance to learn from better teachers as they get older and away from the toxic adults around them.
what an interesting supposition.
Or they’ll grow into brand-new toxic adults themselves.
I grew up surrounded by them. Literally everyone I knew was horrifically racist. I’m trying not to be, but even wanting to improve myself is not typical
Sigh… either some people are covertly denying the Holocaust, or they’re so obsessed with anti-Leftist alt-facts that they can’t recognize the Holocaust…
The left have been fighting everyone and anyone since 1916 and they all they have to show for their efforts is a mountain of corpses running into hundreds of millions through assassinations, starvation, pogroms, imprisonment, plotting against each other and general incompetence.

Tin Soldiers and Nixon Trump is coming
We’re finally on our own.
What patriotism and Evangelical Christianity used to mean:
It happens in little ways, too. The little ways are often the most insidious.
I really wish there was a better word or phrase for that. Especially in the context of surgery, if you read it literally, it sounds awful. But I guess we’re stuck with the phrase now.
This. This right here.
This is fucking real.
Don’t count on SCOTUS or any lower court to strike it down, either. Not with the court packing they’ve already done.
I am severely allergic to cigarette smoke. I often have to wear a mask for my safety in my day-to-day life. If you have a lot of people outside, for a long time, some of them will light up, and others will need to wear whatever protection they can get.
Of course this is intended to criminalize anti-fascism, not to criminalize tobacco allergies.
Now why would an authoritarian ultra-nationalist gov’t want to criminalize anti-fascism…?
If you can contact your congresspeople, please do. In theory, they’re in a beter position to stop this.
There’s a thread on that
