That’s great! How did you secure it to the table?

My former (retired) dentist used to allow people to bring their dogs into the treatment room; small dogs could sit on the owner’s lap.

My vet has suggested that my guy Boone has potential to be a therapy dog. He does love to crawl into laps though, and since he’s a medium sized dog (51 lbs/23 kg), he’ll have to be trained out of that.

Boone has a soothing presence through mere photographs. Must be amazing in person

He did this thing once called “splitting”; we were walking with my neighbour and her two little dogs (pug and jack russell/chihuahua cross) and we were charged by an aggressive Golden. Boone put himself sideways (not head on) between us and the other dog, and turned his head and just looked at the other dog. No raised hackles, no growling. The other dog kind of deflated and wandered back to it’s (negligent) owner. It was like he was saying “You’re embarrassing yourself. Don’t make it worse; just walk away”.

I do not understand the appeal of the sink

It’s cool and smooth with no corners and sometimes water can be licked up.

Curvy and with heat-holding capabilities? That’s all I’ve got. A surprising number of cats sure do love 'em.

Sink? Don’t you mean the cat altar?

Sure can!

Sink? Behold the plastic box!

I agree with @chgoliz . The buck practically lives on the plastic box during summertime. Cool, smooth, and comfortable when the heat makes a full body fur coat uncomfortable.

He is a bit obsessed with the faucets emitting water, but he never wants to be inside the sink when they do. I could also understand the cool smooth cradling surface- if it was warm! But he does this in cold weather.
Not that I need to understand

Who knows? Maybe it’s like how people like a cool pillow when they sleep?

I can understand the fresh water coming out on demand (or on command? Don’t know if you have a motion activated system); that would seem like magic to me.

Another pic of the buck on his box:

No motion activation. He’s getting a new fountain with a spigot that imitates the way the filter water faucet comes out. It’s in transit. The filter water faucet is the one he likes best and we don’t want him figuring out how to turn it on. Because he’d wander away before turning it off.

Looking floofy

I put 4 of those 3M hooks under there, and loops on the fastening bits (drawstring ends and ribbon sides). Can’t even tell, unless you’re laying on the floor right underneath the table.
I’ve been loving those 3M hooks lately. Recently bought a bunch for a rental we were staying at for a few weeks (they never seem to have enough jacket and/or towel hooks in logical places), and just popped them off when it was time to leave.
