ETA
Oh, they belong together!
Thatās truly adorable! They look like siblings.
Boone is at the emergency vet about an hour and a half away from where I am in Prince Edward County; he ate a whole bunch of nicotine gum, which is highly toxic. All of the vets in the County are closed so we frantically looked for the closest vet. It sounds like heās going to be fine, but heās staying overnight, just to be safe.
Iām here visiting some friends, and while we were all out, he stole some nicorette from a table.
Naughty boy.
ETA; I called at around 8:00 p.m. and although it sounds like the gum did have an impact on him, to a degree, heās improving and can be picked up en route home. Iāve been visiting friends out of town, and have to take a train to get home from a certain point in the journey.
They love each other and hate everyone else.
Hope he will be alright!
Did he swallow it? Aside from the nicotine, is the gum going to⦠gum him up?
Thanks; it sounds like heās going to be okay.
It doesnāt seem like the gum part is the problem. I guess it just passes through, but it has nicotine and xylitol in it, both of which are highly toxic and cause kidney, liver and neurological damage. I sounds like heās going to be okay though, even it seems like it did have a bit of an impact, but he had improved when I called them at around 8:00 p.m.
He stole it from a table, and yes, he ate the gum.
Hope all will be well!!!
Hiro was adopted yesterday!!! By a really sweet family.
Neighborās first foster kittens of the year:
4-5 weeks old, siblings, no history. Both have faint āghostā tabby striping in the right light.
Ronnie and Reggie?
Working names are Lady Bite and Lord Squeak, but their personalities havenāt come out much yet, only a day and a half.
Isnāt this true of all black cats?
Allspice, our black kitty, had faint brown stripes when he was younger, visible only in bright sunlight, but they have since disappeared. Lasted only in his first year or so.
Cute kittens!
There have been a couple ātrueā black kittens in the foster litters, but most have had varying degrees of āghostā tabbying.
