Bunny followed us all the way to our campsite.

Is it a baby? Maybe it’s looking for it’s mother.

This place has a million bunnies.

If you take a bike ride through the trails early in the morning or around dusk the trails will be covered with bunnies of all sizes.

Along with deer. Sometimes the deer are hard to spot and sometimes they just pop up and say howdy do.

It sounds like they are all pretty habituated to humans.

I was just referencing the bunnies we have at home wandering around our yard. We’re gone for around nine days and it was nice to see a bunny show up in our temporary back yard at the campground.

The bunnies around here and on the trails are very skittish, they scatter at the first sign of anyone.

The park is huge with no hunting so deer aren’t as afraid but you still have to be very quiet to get up close with them.

There’s a mama nursing a baby that we’re trying to see again.

Wish i had more wildlife by the house but the property is just not that big. Unfortunately the best I can hope for is mostly raccoons, the occasional possum and squirrel. I haven’t put food or water out in the backyard because my partner is kind of afraid of the wildlife :stuck_out_tongue: and honestly anything we put out will likely attract raccoons more than anything.

The weird thing is our lot is only 50’ x 100’ with just the ginormous silver maple.

There’s a giant lake on one side and a huge wetlands across a 55 mph highway yet the animals always wander through our yard and hang out.

I’m sure the food and water helps but it’s still amazing to us how many critters we’re fortunate enough to see.

We also discourage raccoons, if we see any visiting we pick up all the food at night, usually a day or two is enough for them to move on.

We have one neighbor that bought a house on a giant lake near the wetlands but they will kill anything that eats their flowers.

We just plant more flowers, haven’t been able to pick our strawberries for years because all the critters love them and get to them before us.

My wife was busy washing on the cat’s toilet and left the used cat sand in the bucket. She didn’t pay attention to the felines and all of a sudden Ponkan tried to use the bucket with the dirty stuff.
