Metro’s unbridled style has been compared to Jackson Pollock, a painter famous for his splatter and drip technique.

yeah, compared to Pollock–BY CRETINS!
(also, the use of “unbridled” alone would warrant the reaction image)

Aside from that trifle, it was a good story. The paintings are kinda neat, too. But Pollock they ain’t.

I really liked the middle one with the grey-blue strokes over the contrasting background.

And I’d also say more Richter than Pollock. But of course in the mass media, everything in abstract painting is like Pollock.
