Trigger warning for forest fires! I get lyrics in my head sometimes and this is current one:

Burn Hollywood burn, taking down Tinseltown
Burn Hollywood burn, burn down to the ground

Since we’ll remember the Nazis:

Many of the lyrics in this hit extra hard right now:

Love your ego, you won’t feel a thing
Always number one, the pen with a bent wrist, crooked king
Sign away our peace for your war
One word and it’s over

Dropping your bombs, now, on all we’ve built
How does it feel now to watch it burn, burn, burn?
Raise your weapons, raise your weapons
And it’s over

You know, for reasons.

The Skyrizi jingle. I won’t subject anyone to it if they don’t know it.

Is that for a TV ad?

I guess? It’s ingrained in my head. It seems likely that it’s from some ad-supported streaming platform or another, but it could have been from cable television a few years back.

Richard Cheese did a cover of this. It’s amazing.

(Sorry, I couldn’t find a YouTube link.)

And yes, it’s used in TV ads. It’s infectious for sure. The Skyrizi commercials for the RA/Chron’s version use the same song with different lyrics, but it doesn’t quite hit the same.

Thanks, Mindy!

Only half sarcastic! It’s been days so I could use a break, but it’s given me some thought on Hindu philosophy and transcendence and whatnot. But as a horseman, horse person, horse caretaker, it’s hard for me to see horses as a symbol of being trapped in the material plane like that. They just seem transcendent themselves already. Except when I’m shoving all the poop, I guess!

I’m more the man she disagrees with, honestly.

Anyway it’s a beautiful song I hadn’t heard in a while…
