A commenter on another site, who lives in Australia, is so cosy with his magpie neighbours, that they bring the babies to meet him. I’m so envious.
And we’ve got sea lampreys invading to worry about as well.

New visitor: the amusingly named yellow-rumped warbler.
This is from the Toronto Wildlife Centre, which rescues and rehabs animals and birds from in and around Toronto. I’ve taken a couple of birds and a baby squirrel to them for medical treatment and rehabilitation.
My understanding is that there are multiple species of warblers in the woods around us, but I’ve never encountered one.
