Varoufakis nails it, esp. the parts where he identifies Thiel as the far bigger threat, “cloud capital” and Bezos, and much of how people in power entropified our world into the parlous state we are now in.

So very grateful for Amanpour’s ongoing contributions to reason, real facts, and real insight.

Arendt called it early and often. The bulk of the U.S.ian public has either forgotten, learned nothing, or–apparently [for some significant vocal minority]–is pro-Nazi.

The “gradually, then all at once” applies. We live in interesting times. Including the times where the tipping point has tilted toward “my ignorance is as valuable and good as your knowledge.”

TPTB are betting on the rest of us being or becoming too tired to care.
