He’s yet another well-off, famous white dude (who, true enough, is Jewish in fact, but still…) who can’t imagine how this would go off the rails as fast as it has. When the systems are built to benefit you, you’re far less likely to think that they will end up like this… It’s yet more evidence for our lack of solid history education that speaks to how systems work and can be turned on people pretty quickly.

I did stare at the statement for at least 15 seconds wondering if he was adverse to it or advocating for it. Does the phrase “… this is crazy stuff that’s happening all over” refer to the arrests or to the people posting condemnation of the administration?
