From other tweets I’ve seen, he’s blaming republicans for wrecking the economy. He’s just also an asshole.
If I remember correctly from before the election, it had to do with democrats starting to go after tech companies.

It’s the right wing way of trying to get sympathy for being a rapist or whatever. They don’t do the work that’s meant to go along with actually repenting, it’s all for the rubes, to show that they are “one of them” and hence, worthy of defending.
Also, I didn’t realize that Bear Grylls was a right wing asshole too… good to know.
