As a teen I once fell asleep watching politically incorrect and had a vivid nightmare that Bill Maher had a hyper-extendable reptilian penis with teeth that could slip into cracked windows like something out of naked lunch.
To this day I think of that nightmare every time I see his smarmy face.
I’m sure this won everyone over to their cause. 
And I don’t even trust that the paper left behind was the real cause. Could just as easily be done by a group wanting to make the pro-peace people look bad.

Sadly, either scenario would be realistic. People are stupid. That is it.
Mathai is located in Superior Township and is not at all enclosed. Anyone wanting to commit this vandalism could’ve parked in one of the subdivisions across the street (Dixboro), or more likely, the dirt road on the east side (Gale), and walked right in. I’ve only been there a couple times, and not for years, so I don’t know how much security monitoring is near the buildings or if the peonies are even near the buildings.
What I’m getting at is that there may not be video that would help the investigation, or if UM even wants to know the truth. [Against prior city norms, A2 PD did eventually assist UM Public Safety in removing the anti-genocide protest tents on campus. Local news tried to keep it quiet because there’s a lot of local support for, you know, not murdering people indiscriminately en masse. AKA - genocide. It’s not like greater metro Detroit has the largest middle-eastern immigrant population than anywhere else outside the middle-east or anything. Can’t imagine why we would be mad about what Israel is doing.

Doing nothing will not change any minds. The peonies will grow back and dead Palestinian kids won’t. It’s not the most outrageous form of protest I’ve ever seen.
