There are a lot of directors for whom this is their “process”. Like making rehearsals for plays extremely stressful for everyone to bring a catharsis d traumatic energy.
They are arseholes but often have a cultish following.
Trier (he added the “Von” to o sound more German!) is obviously a world class unwashed dripping arsehole. Tarantino will of course never be forgiven for his guitar stunt on whatever film it was that I haven’t watched where they are in the frozen Wesr in the 19th century with a period and priceless original Martin guitar. Which he told the actor was the replica and to go and destroy it.
Asshole. I had already not watched the film before I found that out and I have continued not watching. Retire already Quents!
He told Kurt Russell it was the replica. Importantly to this story, he did not tell Jennifer Jason Leigh. She knew it was the real guitar. Again, Tarantino doesn’t trust women’s acting ability. But that stunt pales in comparison to what he did to Uma Thurman during the filming of Kill Bill. A guitar is just property, even if it’s rare, vintage, valuable property. It’s still a thing. Thurman is a person, and he traumatized her.
I really hope I never lose my current job, because today’s environment has made getting a new one pretty much impossible. Between companies demanding 20 years experience for entry level positions (while also discriminating against anyone old enough to actually have that much experience), taking hundreds or thousands of applications and using AI to sift through them for arcane buzzwords, and people “cheating” like this, whatever that entails, what’s the fucking point? It’s literally easier and less stressful to start my own business from the ground up. Or just starve to death.
Absolutely unbelievable. And yes, regardless of what she says, the medical procedure she had which saved her life was an abortion. She was pregnant. She was given medicine to terminate that pregnancy. That is, by any definition, an abortion. Some Republican assholes in Ohio a few years ago even introduced legislation that would have forced doctors to try reimplanting ectopic pregnancies into the uterus. It never went anywhere because it’s obviously not possible, but they tried, and many “right-to-life” assholes absolutely believe that terminating an ectopic pregnancy is abortion and is a sin.
