They are the big four Prides in England. Other smaller prides have also banned political parties.
And then there is Nuneaton Pride being contrarian and fucking up their reputation so badly that neighbouring Pride organisations have distanced themselves from them.
However, one of the Prides that is allowing political parties to attend and speak is Nuneaton Pride. While that is up to them, we are horrified that Nuneaton Pride has said it would give a platform at Pride to Adolf Hitler in the name of engagement.

âSocial contagionâ and âRapid Onset Gender Dysphoriaâ are just attempts to pathologize trans and fight off acceptance of normal variation as normal. And both have been debunked repeatedly. But just like the damned antivaxx zombie theories, you kill them and they keep coming back. In the end they are wrong and stupid and should die in a fire.

The other day, a proponent of this theory appeared on local TV and many people were fascinated by his ideas, as he takes things that exist and are not good such as abuse of screens, cell phones and video games (ok, Iâm the only one who has an issue with video games) and mixes them with moralism to create moral panic. Then he releases simplistic solutions that warm the hearts of people who want to solve problems, preferably by hurting minorities.

I vaguely recall a video mentioning a comment of hers that if sheâd been given the chance to become a boy when she was young, of course sheâd have taken it. I believe it was Contrapointsâ âWitch Trialsâ vid. IIRC, the comment was mentioned in passing with a raised eyebrow, but wasnât dwelt upon.

Which I believe, and further believe* to be not that uncommon, and further believe* that thatâs not so much to do with transness as with girls becoming woke to patriarchy. (The trans experience, from what Iâve seen, being not so much âI would like to become thatâ as âI am that, itâs just that my body hasnât got the memo.â)
I would hypothesise that one might extend on this to argue that if that is her experience with cross-sexual ideation, and her only real experience with it, then she might well extrapolate that all transmen are just âwomen who want a free ticket out of second-place in the patriarchyâ, and that all transwomen are⊠wait, that doesnât make any sense, why would you choose to demote yourself, there cannot be any other explanation, it must be some sort of fetish or something.
Corollary: ironically for someone who made her fortune on works of magical fiction, she shows almost no imagination on this subject, and definitely not a shred of empathy.

I can understand being a girl and wanting to be a boy, without being one. Lots of reasons.
And also choosing am ambiguous pen name, a male protagonist, etc.
But I think Amy Dentata listed other clues that J.K. Rowling might be trans, e.g. the Chamber of Secrets. Wrong bathroom, trauma around menstruation, fascination and fear of polyjuice, etc. I canât find the post in question.
