Um.... what.... aka, this is the dumbest thing I've ever read

♫ I’m shootin’ up sunshine, wo-oh, I’m shootin’ up sunshine, wo-oh! And it feels really bad! ♫

I’m so sorry, all you decent Americans. Your “president”, that demented orange turd, should not be in charge of changing his own nappies, let alone the entire country’s response to a deadly pandemic. You have my heartfelt and genuine sympathy. I hope you all can stay safe and sane in these massively strange and uncertain times.

Only if he’s the person to administer the treatment.

Bah, so the emitter needs a bit of tuning.

Love this quote in the comments:

On journalism: “If someone says it’s raining, and another person says it’s dry, it’s not your job to quote them both. Your job is to look out the fucking window and find out which is true.” -Sally Claire

Perhaps drinking disinfectant will become a loyalty test among Trump’s sycophants, like that scene in The Last Emperor.

We will drink no bleach before its time!

Hmm. Maybe “We will drink no bleach before it’s time” would be better.

Press release

aytu sounds like a dodgy company, but maybe medical startups are all like this.

In the medical device industry, quite often companies will start small and hope to get bought out by a bigger company if they can get any early success. I don’t know if that’s true in the drug industry, though. For one thing, the FDA’s medical device user fees are smaller than the drug ones, I think. At least that was the situation when I worked there till 2014.

The makers of the game “Plague, Inc” are really on the ball… decided to try loading it up to check out some of the things that have been added since I last played it a couple years ago, and just saw this pop up in the “news” feed in a game:

Not “implied”. Flat out said:

Hrm… Personally, I would read that sentence as the author saying, “some experts view Trump’s theorizing as dangerous” rather than “some experts view the theories about sunlight, etc as dangerous”.

Though, even so, it’s an easy one to read the other way. An editor was asleep at the wheel when the headline went out that way. Do we know if the sentence in the article that was updated was similar?

Technically, some experts does not imply only some experts.

Now, stupid fucking Trump is claiming he was being sarcastic. Anyone who saw footage of him making the comments can tell he absolutely was not being sarcastic. Christ, what an unforgivable arsehole.

Watch the extended footage. He went in about it for some time and was quite pleased with himself. This show had an extended clip at the start.

Also, let’s just go with that excuse. In what world would that be the correct way for the president to talk during a press briefing in the middle of a pandemic?

Just saw this. Of course.
