Um.... what.... aka, this is the dumbest thing I've ever read

Christ what an asshole.

ETA: I beginning to wonder why young people are being encouraged to go into technical fields in the US. So many right wing people in this country don’t care what experts say, and trust their “instincts” more than any expert. Might as well tell kids to learn astrology, tarot, and homeopathy—make a better living that way.

Hey, Tarot isn’t that bad, it would never recommend stuff like what we’re seeing from some of these people.

Seriously, tarot’s all about putting images in front of you that trigger you to pull thoughts from your subconscious up into your conscious mind about things you weren’t thinking about (or that you were) and lead you to make the connections between things that you wouldn’t have otherwise connected.

No mystical nonsense needed. It’s just making you thing about different aspects of a situation and how you might address them. It’s basically a form of therapy. (The mystical nonsense really sells it though.)

That reminds me that I need to teach my daughter how to do tarot. It’s not about the cards. It’s all about the person seeking guidance from them.

Well, I was referring to the mystical nonsense aspect of all of this stuff. Astronomy started out as astrology millennia ago. But there is no non-mystical part of linking 5G to Covid19.

A benefit isn’t a benefit if it can be defined away.

Not so much that it’s dumb, but that it fucking needs to be said.

So… injectable UV? Or are we going for Cherenkov radiation?

No, the injectable part he talked about was relating to 90% isopropyl alcohol and other cleansers.

No, I’m not joking.

Replacing our plasma with thimerosal? That’ll make the antivaccers heads spin.

I was raised in a household where science was important. NO, my brother didn’t have a lab, but he did have a chemistry set and we had lots of science books around and were encouraged to follow The Scientific Method. Plus, our elementary-school science teacher was a grand-nephew of Aldous Huxley (I kid you not!)!

Not only that, but ALL THE WARNINGS we got as kids - the non-Jolly-Roger skull-and-crossbones that meant POISON stands out the most in my mind - and the bloody fucking POTUS is promoting such shit? That’s not the most surprising part; what really gets me is that SOMEONE is allowing this to continue.

I want my mommy.

I suppose light from a UV laser, if powerful enough, would make it all the way through the body by a scattering mechanism of some sort. It might even break up the virus DNA (and any other DNA in the vicinity).

You gotta give the idea one thing… if someone hit your body with a powerful enough UV light to destroy all of the viruses inside it, Covid-19 would probably be the least of your worries afterwards.

We are happy to report that, after using this treatment, none of the subjects died of Corvid-19.

There are some minor to severe side-effects that we are working on mitigating.

It’s really bad when the makers of Lysol have to put out a statement saying “don’t do this”.

Due to recent speculation and social media activity, RB (the makers of Lysol and Dettol) has been asked whether internal administration of disinfectants may be appropriate for investigation or use as a treatment for coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2).
