We forget that the mask of niceness was on then, and as much as the racist nutjobs had power then, W wasn’t one of them. The fact that Krugman is pointing this out to the DC bubble says a lot about the bubble and not much about Krugman.
This is really just in a pattern of concern-trolling any public figure who has coherent things to say about rich people. Privileged people who want to seem relevant pull shit like this all the time.

I’m reliably getting the same password prompt from detroitsportsnation.c.wpstage.net. It looks like the favicon that’s being included by onebox for that story is coming from a password-protected location there.
