It seems like almost all the “New Atheists” revealed themselves to be shitheads.
A friend got swept up in that bullshit about 15 years ago. He started out “all religions are bad”, and very quickly learned that it was a lot more complicated than that. Academically, he was a very average guy - average grades at an average university, leading to an average career path. And he figured it out quicker than Dawkins, so… 
Though I’m an atheist and a skeptic, it’s people like Dawkins that prevent me from being part of an atheist or skeptic community. Far too many of them have revealed themselves to be monsters who use their supposed rationalism to justify petty misogyny and racism, more interested in boosting their own egos than improving the human condition in any way.
Yup. A religion for those without one has got to be a grift.
