I hear you, but he did specify the 1950s, so the code was very much in force!

Bonus:
I had a cat that would jump into a full bathtub and walk around like that: back paws walking and front paws gently paddling to keep her head out of water. She didnāt do it often, but she did it more than once, on purpose. Very unusual cat.
