Like with other things, the US has little need for propagandising via domestic public broadcasting because the corporations that control the private broadcasting also control the state.
NPR is a regular firehose of right wing propaganda, but no more so than CBS/CNN/MSNBC/FOX/etc.
And then we get to the outward-facing state media; Radio Free X and so on.
