Even if we ignore the more direct human impact for a moment: how would you feel if a foreign invader was doing that to the forests where you live? How long do you think it takes for the environment to recover from that sort of damage? Might you feel justified in taking action to prevent it?
Not:
- Patronising “parenting” classes
- Intrusive surveillance accompanied by the constant threat of child removal
- Useless and exploitative job training
- Eugenicist campaigns against pregnancy
Just get them some fucking money.
