Iâve said before that, by the standards of the Oz left, Iâm actually unusually sympathetic to the USA.

Although I find much to criticise, I also find much to praise. From the perspective of a nature-loving outdoorsman, North America is a marvellous place. And the history of the real US left is amply supplied with heroes.
