Remove the state department, and the accusations about mysterious weapons, and that leaves a lot of cases where whole groups get unexplained chronic illnesses, and get dismissed as hysterical. Iceland Disease, Royal Free Disease, Gulf War Syndrome, etc. There are even attempts to dismiss Long Covid.
