Coincidentally, I’ve been looking into the Panthers lately and came across these articles. I haven’t bothered researching to see how well the Panthers walked Huey’s walk, but, at least for a time, homophobia was not the Party’s line.

Anyone still think that Trump is going to be impeached and indicted?

I may break my NFL boycott that weekend just for the possibility of watching the Patriots lose.

Any of the US folks think that the Eagles have a chance?

This ties sooo much into all the “status quo” things in society. A story with a black woman helming a pirate ship is “unnecessarily political” (ideological) but replace her with a white man and it’s “just a story”.

Just being the default setting does not make something apolitical or ideological, it just means you’re blind to it.

When you spend your life wading around in sewage up to your neck, after a while, you stop smelling it and don’t get so worried about those rashes. So it seems radical when someone says “why don’t you climb out of that, and take a shower?” Just because you live in it,doesn’t mean that you’re not surrounded by shit.

I’d quibble with the “fully democratise” bit at the end. The gains of the 1960’s were more symbolic than substantial, and have been eroded since.
