A: Because you only get a socialist revolution when the entire power structure needs replacing.
Q: Why are fascist revolutions infamously prone to slaughtering the peasantry?
A: Because they’re about suppressing the power of the working class.

I hope that the Australian military is prepared to take out Pine Gap. I fear that they have no plans to do so.
No. Overt action against the US fascists is very unlikely from the rest of the world. We’re all scared shitless and massively outmatched for firepower.
But American military, industrial and economic structures are closely enmeshed with other nations, globally. US marines and warships are in Darwin. US drone strikes, globally, are targeted from Australia.
Everyone with US bases will be dragged in fairly quickly, as involuntary participants. If the left loses, then it’ll be American fascism vs anyone who doesn’t kowtow.
If it blows, it isn’t going to be blue vs grey on Little Round Top. It’ll be global, viral.
This is a post that I expect will be redundant to most, if not all, of you. Probably irritating to those who think it’s obvious.
But I’d feel bad if I didn’t do it.
